How Primer Works
During manufacturing, an ultra-thin aqueous primer dispersion is applied to the reverse side of the PVC film. This layer contains dual-functional polymers:
- Hydrophobic anchors that molecularly bond with the PVC substrate.
- Polar reactive groups that create high-energy cross-linking bonds with polyurethane (PUR) and EVA adhesives.
